About Luxury Home Renovation
A design-build remodeling company in Boston’s South End
We design, permit and build kitchens, bathrooms, additions and whole-house renovations in Boston and nearby towns. One team, one written estimate, one person to call.
- Licensed and insured in Massachusetts
- Design, permits and construction by one team
- Itemized written estimate
Who you are hiring
Our office is at 234 W Newton St in the South End. We have spent more than 20 years in Massachusetts construction. That means plaster walls, knob-and-tube wiring, cast-iron drains and stairs too narrow for a bathtub.
We plan for those before demolition, not after. A Brookline Victorian and a Dorchester triple-decker hide different surprises, and the estimate should say so.
What design-build means for you
You do not hire an architect, wait for drawings, then shop them to three builders. The people who draw your kitchen also price it and build it.
So the 3D design, the permit set and the itemized estimate describe the same project. The steps are on our process page.
How we run a job
A written estimate, line by line
Every line names a material, a quantity and a price. If you change something later, we price the change in writing before anyone picks up a tool.
A clean site every evening
Floors covered, doorways sealed with zippered plastic, tools back in the truck. In a condo, we follow the building’s hours and elevator rules.
What can slow a job down
We tell you how long the work usually takes and what can push it: an ISD inspection, cabinet lead times, a snowed-in delivery. You hear from us every week.
How the company is organized
Design
A designer measures your rooms and draws them in 3D. You settle layouts, cabinets, tile and fixtures before anyone cuts into a wall.
Project management
Your project manager is your one number to call, from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. The same person files permits with ISD or your town’s building department, orders materials and books inspections.
Crews
Our carpenters handle demolition, framing, finish work and tile. Licensed electricians and plumbers do their trades under their own permits, as Massachusetts requires.
Paperwork you should ask for
We are licensed and insured in Massachusetts. Ask to see both before you sign anything.
Every project also comes with a written workmanship warranty. If something does not hold up, you call the same project manager, not a stranger.
Where we work
About 30 miles around our South End office, from Beacon Hill and Jamaica Plain out to Lexington, Wellesley and Hingham.
